Gunston Hall, an 18th century Georgian mansion located near the Potomac River in Mason Neck, Virginia, that was the home of George Mason, one the Founding Fathers of the United States.
We had heard of this place but never been there so just stopped by to see what it looked like. I don’t know if there were any tours going on, but even if so, we wouldn’t have taken one under the current circumstances of the pandemic. This was as close as we could get, on a closed road to the front door, but we’d like to go back when times are better to see the entire plantation and house.
Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.
