Sahraa always waits for me on the stairs when I’m getting ready to go to bed; the idea is that I pet her through the balusters on the staircase. Then she waits for me on the landing so I can reach up from the stairs to pet her some more. Finally, she plants herself in front of my office door so we can get one more session in.
