The 'temple'

This house reminded me of an ancient temple. The cars in front of it were pretty nice, too.

*****

Another gallery I never finished was this one, of palatial residences in Riyadh. Not every Saudi lives in a palace, although some do and many come pretty close. They all have gates, some of which appear in “The Gates of Riyadh” gallery, too, but in these I tried to show more of the houses to give an idea of how people live there. I must add that our house in Riyadh was nothing like any of these ;-).

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.

Fantastic image of this place. I am surprised they don't have more deluxe cars in this case. I saw a lot of places like this, though I am sure not to the same extent as in Riyadh, when I was in Amman years ago. I am glad to see you going back and finding stragglers to add to your existing galleries. I am doing a bunch of that too. ~BV~

wow, lovely compo, of this so-called temple, the pediment is nicely elaborated above the entrance, and it is also nice to see your car parked in front of the entrance gate,BV

With those pillars this does indeed look like a temple. It is elaborately ornate as so many houses there appear to be. Beautiful shot. V

It looks like something from ancient history. It’s interesting to see the cars parked outside. V

Perfect "palace" for a Hollywood peplum ! A combination of different architectural styles but not in the finest way... V.
