More drastic measures

Until today, Lincoln Park had served as a refuge, albeit a far too crowded one, for our Capitol Hill neighborhood, but Tim saw this sign early this morning while taking Sahraa for a walk. My neighbor walked past there later and said there were no barriers up and that there were people in the park. I honestly don’t know what it will take to get people to do their small part to try to slow the spread of this deadly virus. The park is part of the National Park Service, so federal land, and I understand park police are ticketing people if they see them in the park. Maybe that will do it.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.

Everything is closed here, but it doesn’t stop people from not practicing social distancing.

We have the same in Washington State

Our beaches and trails are closed and we've been told we cannot be out except for necessary business. I'm on my second jigsaw puzzle....

Most people have a natural aversion to being shut in, especially if the are told that they must comply. ~V~

Our parks and several forests are closed as well.

A year that will force change to many lives.

Sad indeed, but hopefully there will be better times soon. Many people still don't get it though and continue to congregate in our closed parks too.

All our city parks have been closed and trails in the National Capital lands too. Families out in the sunshine just walking around the neighbourhoods now.

A sign of the times. (Excuse the bad pun, but if we don't laugh then we cry.).

our world is shrinking as options are reduced...the park does a compact one, so it would be difficult to maintain appropriate distance here..

It will probably take drastic measures to make people understand this virus is not a joke, but deadly serious.

We are only allowed one walk a day, difficult for our dog as well
