Tim on international TV

As we were getting ready to leave, a VOA news crew asked Tim for an interview, so he obliged. No chance of us ever seeing it since they only broadcast overseas. Don’t know how anybody would be able to hear what he said, anyway, given the constant roar of the bikes going by!

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.

*****
We went down to the Mall to see the final ride through Washington of Rolling Thunder, an advocacy group that seeks to bring full accountability for prisoners of war and missing in action service members of all US wars. The group's first demonstration was in 1988, and today -- with hundreds of thousands of participants -- was the last, due to what the group says are rising costs and "increased harassment" from the Pentagon. I'll be sad to see this 31-year tradition end.

National Park Service to the rescue! posted earlier:

I gather you had the presence of mind to capture the moment for posterity. :-)

doubtless Tim 'gives good clip', as once upon a time we were wont to say in the newsroom...

The reporters must have been pleased to have Tim as an interviewee. V

Pretty neat. Looks like he was well equipped to get a snap of them as well.
