Our neighbor's crop

Our next-door neighbor has planted “gourds” this year, and they have gone crazy. He says we’ll all have lots of them come Halloween. That will be nice, but I constantly have to cut the ones back that encroach on our garden and walkway. At one point, I could barely reach our gate, the growth was so heavy.

We have postage-stamp-sized front gardens, thus you have to fit as much as possible into a very small space. And so he has.

A look at the interior, posted earlier:

LOL. Those things never stop growing vies and producing fruit. And they seem to double in size overnight. V

Lush, abundant growth (gourds will do that!) in this small front yard. An excellent use of available space. V

Love all that gorgeous lush green! I'm all for people tearing up their lawns and planting veggies! (or gourds)

Gourds-A-Poppin'. We have neighbors who just let their yards go during the drought and haven't done anything to bring them back after the rains came. I like your neighbor better. A very interesting post. V

It’s better than the weeds in my neighbor’s front yard! I haven’t seen gourds grown before. V
