Washington’s famous cherry blossoms were at their peak on Friday (when this was taken); it’s supposed to snow on Saturday, so that may be the end of them.
Taken with the new camera, a drive-by shot that I wish were a little sharper. But I feel fortunate to have gotten it through the cars, busses, barriers and trees and Tim’s window at rush hour from the wrong side of a highway that runs by the Tidal Basin and Jefferson Memorial.
We usually visit the cherry blossoms on the ground, but just couldn’t take the time to search for a parking place (impossible at that hour) and battle the thousands of people milling around the Tidal Basin, plus Tim is going to South Korea, so this was probably my one shot at it.
