Trabzon is one of the major cities on Turkey’s Black Sea coast. I can’t really remember why, but it wasn’t one of my favorite places. There are, however, interesting things around the province.
As I had mentioned at the start of this gallery, I recently found these photos that I had scanned in 2001 while in Okinawa and decided to start this gallery. But when I realized I had left some key images out, I gave in and bought a new scanner for $79 that I hoped would work with a Mac. Then I saw that the new scanner did a much better job than the old one I had dumped in Riyadh, so as much as I didn’t want to, I started scanning all the photos again (!). Unfortunately, it does such a good job that things I had written on the back of the prints show through on the front, and the flaws are much more obvious. Still, I think it’s worth it to redo them all and am thankfully almost finished.
