Berlin Wall

Today was the annual "Museum Day," when some museums around the country offer free entry. We have been wanting to return to the Newseum here in Washington, but with an entrance fee of $24.95, we just couldn't bring ourselves to pay that in a city where most museums are free. It’s a fascinating museum dedicated to the First Amendment Rights of the US Constitution – freedom of religion, speech, press, assembly and petition.

The museum has a section of the Berlin Wall in its lower concourse.

Very intriguing. Was it a surviving part of the actual wall or a recreation? Excellent capture! ~V~

This artwork reminds me of work by Jean-Michel Basquiat, who died unfortunately at the age of 27.
