I’m going to end this gallery here, with a final view of the beautiful Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

It certainly was an interesting vacation, experiencing the over-the-top carnival atmosphere of Pigeon Forge, getting stuck in an hour-long traffic jam in the national park (!), driving through the charming town of Wears Valley and meeting fellow Pbaser Buz Kiefer and his wife there, breezing through the overcrowded tourist trap of Gatlinburg and finally getting to meet Challenger the bald eagle and other birds of prey at the American Eagle Foundation, which was the original purpose of the trip.
