Cousins

Well, I couldn’t resist and in fact did go back yet again to the “orchids: A MOMENT” exhibit at the Smithsonian’s Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden. It’s a good thing I did – there were some very exotic new orchids on display. Something I learned was that the Smithsonian Garden has some 8,500 orchids, although I don’t think they’ll all be exhibited here (or this gallery will never end ;-)).

You can really see why this one is called a "Lady Slipper". Lovely !
