Marching through Lincoln Park

There were thousands upon thousands of people marching through my neighborhood on Capitol Hill this morning, headed for the Women’s March on Washington. I saw them from our steps and couldn’t believe my eyes, so grabbed a jacket and my iPhone and ran down to Lincoln Park, which they were passing though from buses parked at RFK Stadium on their way to the Mall area. A neighbor and I were asking where they were from, and we were told Baltimore, North Carolina, New Jersey, Texas, San Francisco, Kenya and Canada, among many other places. The sheer magnitude of the scene was breathtaking, and heartening...

Great shot, although I do wonder if the children understand, or are they being influenced by adults. I remember the "Ban the nuclear bomb" and the encampment outside the USAF airforce bace near Newbury, so many years and sadly no effect.
