Washington under siege

We took Sahraa to the vet this morning, right when Trump was being sworn in, so didn’t have to watch all the “celebrations,” but even in our neighborhood of Capitol Hill, there were soldiers and police everywhere as well as a number of streets closed. This was taken from the car at Stanton Park, not too far from our house. It was raining and we were moving, so quality could have been better.

I am glad it was overall a peaceful day except for some rioters. V

I hope there is nothing wrong with Sahraa? At least you avoided the "celebrations" though this shot is sobering. V

Hoping Sahraa is alright...I was at work today so I was happy to miss all the activities. That's a formidable looking vehicle!

Quality looks good to me, why was poor Sahraa at the vet ?

quite the array of signs, and of troopers, albeit apparently lounging about most casually....good the fuss of the moment is over....now just four years of the 'DTs' to ride out...

I heard on NPR that DC also had its bands of roaming vandals this morning. ~V~
