Resigned

As soon as we moved back into our house on Capitol Hill, Sahraa dug a hole in our back garden, actually more of a big depression, where she loves to sleep during the day and in the evening, until we sit down to dinner, that is.

This is greatly cropped, but I like the resigned look on her face, undoubtedly because she got her picture taken.

Today she looked particularly cute out there, but when I took my iPhone out of my pocket to take a picture, she turned away. I hadn’t even pointed it at her.

She looks right at home!

Our dog likes to do this too. Maybe they like the coolness of being sunk in like that or maybe it's the comfort of having a nest. ~V~

So sorry to hear she is not happy. Hope this depression passes. She is an mazing dog and you caught so much expression in this capture Helen. I have always been amazed about how much a dog can express with their eyes. V

I just love this shot! It is an expression I see on Sasha's face sometimes when she seems resigned to something! V

I'm like exzim, I wonder why she doesn't like cameras like that, it must be associated with something! She is so pretty
exzim21-Oct-2016 23:45
It is strange that she is so shy about having her picture taken. Is it some connection she feels about being abandoned, pictures taken to get her adopted, or was she maltreated in some way she associates with cameras.

Sure makes me wonder what is going through her mind...
