How things have changed!

I guess I’ve been away for too long because I’ve never seen anything like this in the US, although I had heard that marijuana had been legalized in some states.

I’ll catch up with comments soon; we borrowed a car and had to take Sahraa to the vet for a checkup ($350, yikes, welcome home!) and have other unpacking things to do today before we have it all hauled away for donation.

Times are changing. I hope it is legalized. It does a lot less damage than booze. $350 seems very expensive.

They are popping up like weeds all over, these stores :-) And yes, your vet fee is pretty standard fare here, unfortunately! V

A sign of the times! Unfortunately $350 is not unusual for a vet visit these days. V

In Netherlands it is normal but you don't expect it in the USA

Our Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, has already started the processus to legalize cannabis by next Spring 2017. What's the point of making criminals out of people smoking weed! The idea is to sell it like they do liquors (alcohol) out of government controlled stores, they collect the taxes, eliminate crime syndicates that presently import/sell the stuff etc. remember the prohibition years in the States? Then they legalized alcohol ... and now it is a cash cow for the government in taxes! While leaders in the States, Trump or Clinton, are in their 70s, in Canada, our Prime Minister is in his early 40s, different generation, different upbriging, different influences, ways of thinking etc. As he says so well, eh, it's 2016 now!

Canada is soon to legalize it for recreational use as well as the medical usage already allowed...perhaps fewer young people will have criminal records for being caught with a joint..

Now, thats amazing! I've been away too long also. 350 sounds like a lot for a checkup, but as long as she's OK.. V
