Just the start of it

Today was day 3 of pack out. The movers still haven’t finished and are coming back tomorrow, highly unusual since Friday is the holy day of the week (and the weekend) here. Tim is convinced they’ll have to come back on Saturday, too, because they still have a lot to pack up, then all of that has to be weighed and moved into lift vans, two of which they filled today. We do have a lot of stuff, especially artwork, porcelain, crystal and carpets, because we brought a lot with us for our enormous house in Budapest, not knowing we’d be moving here after that.

Anyway, this is just a fraction of the boxes waiting to be put in lift vans. It seems like just yesterday that all our household effects were delivered, but in fact it was in November 2013. How time flies.

Sweets galore, posted earlier:

I'm sure the next few weeks will be very stressful for you all. You sound like you have a good attitude about everything and the experience to handle a big move. Safe travels to all. V

a disruptive time no doubt...good it is getting done...now you can look forward to the unpacking back home, which can be a challenge...after my recent move it took three days to find the shower curtain..
