A sign of the future

This was taken with some difficulty at a local supermarket and is an example of what they call “Saudization” in the labor market. There is a drive to employ Saudis, including women, in jobs that were previously held by expats. This particular supermarket has all female cashiers, which I find very impressive and hopeful for the future. When we arrived here almost three years ago, we never once saw a woman working in a shop, even ones where the merchandise was clearly and exclusively for women. That is beginning to change.

Now if they can get these ladies into dresses and get rid of the masks they would look normal.

this does seem a big step in the right direction...now, if authorities would just loosen up the dress code a bit...excellent shot too, especially considering the challenges you face..
