Attack

Poor Sahraa got attacked this evening while on a walk with Tim. Some guy who looked like a third country national and who didn’t speak English didn’t have some dog on a leash, and it proceeded to attack Sahraa. Tim said he kicked it away. Then some car drove up and the handler was given a leash, which didn’t help the situation much. She appears to be unhurt, but it was very unfortunate all around. I would have tried more than to just kick the dog out of the way…

I hate when that happens - irresponsible pet owners.

Awww...so sorry to hear this news. Glad she is ok. Always so upsetting when your dog gets attacked. Give her a hug from me! This is a very endearing photo of her. V

Poor Sahraa, fortunately she wasn't hurt but looks like she needs a lot of TLC to get over the shock! A very sweet portrait, Helen. V

So glad she was not hurt. I know it had to be a scary situation. This is such a superb capture of Sahraa that conveys so much expression. I know that look from my dog and it really makes me sad that this happened. Voted+

Poor baby!
When we were living in a rental while our current house was being built, I was walking my dog on a leash in that neighborhood and a dog that was tied out on a line tethered into the ground, pulled loose and ran to attack my dog, biting him on his rear. I don't remember how I got rid of him, but I went over to the owner and read her the riot act about rabies protection, etc.
The only thing that came of that was I went out to Wal-mart and bought a container of pepper spray and carried it with me whenever I walked the dog(s). I was scared to death of ever having to use it for hear of the wind blowing it into my eyes, but it did make me feel better prepared.
