Khor Rouri, Sumhuram ruins

We drove to Khor Rouri, which hosts the Sumhuram Archeological Site, where a thriving center of the frankincense trade was located 2,000 years ago (3rd century B.C-5th century A.D.). The city sat high on a hill overlooking the estuary and Arabian Sea and was totally enclosed by imposing walls with two gates, one monumental and a smaller one).
