Opposing herons

There seems to be a lot of wildlife in Salalah, and some not so wild, like camels (of which we’ve seen many), cows and goats. This was taken on the grounds of The Museum of the Frankincense Land, named after what Oman was known as in antiquity. They have boats running down this channel so visitors can better see the birds.

Looks like our Great Blue Heron, but they don't live in Oman. There is a good Pbase gallery called Birds of Oman here http://www.pbase.com/zotyesz/birds_from_oman Great shot, Rule of Thirds and Rule of Odds both represented. V
