Vor Frue Kirke (Church of Our Lady) is Copenhagen’s cathedral, with the current building dating from 1820. Our tour book made it look like the central aisle was literally made of gold, so we had to go see for ourselves. It wasn’t gold, and not even close, but the cathedral was lovely in an austere sort of way and was adorned with many sculptures by prominent Danish sculptor Bertel Thorvaldsen, some of which are shown here.
