The 100 or so horses (just a guess, but there were a huge number of them) we saw galloping along the road belonged to this stable, which hires out horses to tourists for riding and trekking to the interior. It was getting late so we didn’t have time to stop, but I would have loved to have gone horseback riding, even though I haven't done that for years. A Danish man I met at the airport said they have five distinctive gaits, two of them peculiar to Icelandic horses, and that it was like riding on air. Next time!
