We started our second day off in Asir with new adventures, among them seeing baboons all over the place. They congregate around garbage dumps (or more correctly, places where garbage has been dumped) and along the sides of roads. Unfortunately, they run away if you get too close, unless, of course, you have food to give them, in which case they are said to become aggressive.
This is a series of four baboon pictures, most shot from a moving vehicle. I tried so hard to get a good capture of them, with passengers in our car even calling out sightings, but it was tough to get and retain focus, and the driver didn’t seem inclined to slow down (they were just baboons, after all).
