The baby camel story (4/8): Grabbed

This is a series of eight images taken in less than two minutes of an event involving a baby camel and its mother. We couldn’t really figure out just what happened, but it was interesting to watch the reactions of the mother camel and the handler, as well as those of the Saudis at the end.

I don’t know why the handler suddenly grabbed the baby, but the mother clearly wasn’t happy about it.

NEWS BULLETIN: The local Saudi paper reported on our visit to the festival, and my picture is in the paper kissing a camel! Actually, I don’t think I did kiss a camel, but the POV makes it look that way. Wish I could actually understand what the article and photo caption say! Also wish I could find the story online, but that's an impossible task not knowing any Arabic.

Maybe the photographer in black got too close to her baby, and mama felt a threat...aka animal psychology! Voted.
