Mother and child

I thought this mother and baby were just charming! One thing I learned today was that they do shave camels; it’s clear in this image that her neck and lower body have been.

I have gotten behind on commenting between working until after 11 last night, getting up at 4:30 to go to the camel beauty pageant (a misnomer!), spending eight hours in a bus and just getting home at 7 this evening. I hope to catch up now!

The day at the camel festival was interesting, although in a way I would never imagined – it wasn’t so much the camels, which were fascinating, but the culture. More on my adventure there after I finish this gallery, which should be soon, and start on the next one.

Lovely to see the young one.
I wonder if they keep the camel wool to make things with or if they sell it for other people to make things with.

I've often heard the saying that 'the grass in greener on the other side of the fence'. Well in this case the grass is on the other side of the fence.
An excellent capture Helen. V
