This was taken in a pleasant little park on the DQ. Granted, it wasn’t yet dusk, when most locals seem to emerge from the coolness of their houses (although it really hasn’t been hot these days), but it was late afternoon, and we and a Saudi family were the only people in the park. It seems like such a waste of little “oases” in this compound.

An interesting note that has nothing to do with this picture: It rained here today! I was crashing at work so didn’t notice, but my husband told me when he got home. I couldn’t believe it, but sure enough, the ground and pavement were wet out in the garden!
