La Rambla

The historic avenue of La Rambla, leading to the sea, is busy round the clock. On its tree-shaded central walkway are all kinds of concessions and performers as well as locals and tourists.

I've read that the unemployment rate in Spain is 26%. What evidence have you seen of this. I know here in Western North Carolina, the unemployment rate is high, but not that high, and many, many business have closed their doors and there's a new spate of consignment and pawn shops, signs of a poor economy.
