St. Jacob's Cathedral (1225)

This cathedral was built just outside the city walls in 1225 and today is the seat of Riga's Catholic archbishop.

I don't know how they did it, but I was fascinated by the shadow above the altar.

A very beautiful interior of this Cathedral..perfectly captured in colour and details..and that shadow really does grab one's attention..

Yes, the shadow is a bit of a mystery, but the interior illumination is nice and even. And extraordinarily sharp details. V

This is a beautiful cathedral interior! I'm trying to figure out what the shadow if from ~ I'm assuming it's the cross, but I also wondered if it was you shooting this image. V
