Golden Gate, Prison Tower

As seen from Ulica Długa. The gate was a ceremonial structure built in 1612-14 topped with allegorical figures, representing the city's golden age. The Prison Tower (rising behind the gate) was once used to house prisoners sentenced to death and now hosts the Amber Museum.
