Elementary school hall

I have puzzled over all my captures of this huge hall, including those of the skylight and exterior roof, and have come to the conclusion that the skylight is curved rather than straight and the room is not symmetrical; in fact the front door is actually at an angle to the hall, which appears to be the center of the building. It's quite an interesting design, in any case.

there are certainly memories of both Steiner here and more especially Gaudi with the columns on the lines of thrust and maybe the roof also aligned with the statics. No doubt about the entrance area being assymetrical. It calls to mind a small school in Cornwall where the architect absolutely ensured that it would be impossible to line the kids up in neat rows.

An impressive interior with all this exposed wood and the slanting columns. I like the light pouring through. Nice job with this image. "V"
