This Secessionist fountain is in the heart of old Pécs and pays tribute to Vilmos Zsolnay, who founded the porcelain factory of the same name just down the road in 1853. It was covered up during winter and was one of the main reasons I wanted to return for a third visit. The four cows are all slightly different colors and are almost iridescent with the eosin glaze for which Zsolnay porcelain became so famous.
