Pálinka Festival at the Castle

Pálinka is a traditional Hungarian fruit brandy, made most commonly from plums, pears, apricot or peaches. This was a huge gathering in the Castle complex at which you paid the entry fee, for which you also received a glass. Then you go around to the various distillers and sample their wares (for a fee). It was lots of fun and goes well into the evening. Unfortunately, palinka is so strong, I can't really drink much of it at one sitting (or walking, especially in warm weather), but I did enjoy what I sampled.

Palinka is very tasteful. Great drink. Nice photo too.

That is not such a small amount in the glass. I imagine that many of the festival goers were quite bombed wondering through the fair. Moreover, the hostess seems to be enjoying her task of getting people high.
