Before: Zero sunlight and suffocating

My office, where I spend most of my waking hours, is located in the dogleg of our house, so even though it does have one window, virtually no sunlight gets in here. I decided it's time to shed some light on things (and will probably paint it a different color when it's done as I've found this is a bit much ;-).

The contractor starts tomorrow to put a skylight in, just like the one he put over our staircase, which has made a world of difference, not only light-wise but sort of mentality-wise. Despite the horrific mess and gross inconvenience this will mean, I absolutely cannot wait!

You had a big task clearing everything out. The skylight will make a big difference.

It looks so cheery, though. Of course you're going to appreciate that skylight!
