After renovation

I had photographed this building two years ago while under construction but couldn't remember exactly where it was. Somebody had given me a tip on the approximate address (which turned out to be wrong), but on my way home I was waiting to cross the street when I looked up and there it was. I couldn't believe the changes made to it, but definitely the same building. A cop was stopped at the light and he was saying he remembered when there was a store in the building and that he too couldn't believe what it looked like now. It's for sale (251 8th Street NE, with Long and Foster Realtors, currently $625,000, and it's a duplex ;-)).

What a stunning transformation! Craftsmanship alive and well in DC. Glad you found it again.
