Bratislava's Blue Church (Art Nouveau)

The Church of St. Erzsébet was designed by Ödön Lechner, Hungary's most prominent Art Nouveau architect, in 1907-13, in what was then the Hungarian city of Pozsony. I have wanted to see this church for a long time, and a drive to Vienna gave us the opportunity to visit. It's also called the Blue Church because of the color of the walls and roof, but although it was closed, I managed to get a few shots of the interior through the iron gate, and the pews are the same amazing blue as the exterior. It was truly a delightful example of Hungarian Secessionist, or Art Nouveau, architecture at its most creative.
