jig setup

This model of jig is no longer available for sale from the manufacturer. The upgrade is the D4 Pro.
It takes a bit of time to setup and adjust the fit, but when done carefully dovetail joints can be
made literally perfect every time for a project.

The setup here cuts "asymmetrical" joints using identical pin and tail layouts on both the left and
right ends of the jig. Careful track needs to be done on the stock to make sure assembly uses the
correct pieces. The sample here is strong enough to stand on without glue and does not rack.

Nice setup, I had a smaller dovetail jig and gave it to a high school senior a few years ago who wanted to use it.
