One detail commonly seen on boards like this but omitted here are dowel pins.
Usually there would be four (4) dowels driven thru the board at each end thru the splines.
But because of the EXTREME humidity differences between where this was built (Hawaii) and
where it's going (Wisconsin) I left the dowels out. The board needs to be able to expand
and contract without being restricted by pins. The splines were glued only at the centers
with just a dab of glue. I liked the pins design but decided to sacrifice them in this case.
