MDF stands for Medium Density Fiberboard. It's an inexpensive material that's made from glue,
sawdust, and a lot of pressure. It makes great templates. Here I've cut the shape for the
stretchers. The finish material will be rough cut using this as a guide and then the template
will be used as a guide with a router bearing bit to trim the edges to the profile. The three
layout marks on each end are where some tricky drilling will need to be done.
