Pot Shop ~ August 29

New London, Minnesota

New London may be a small town, but on occasion we do have a small bit of crime. If those kids were smart they'd take up photography and just Photoshop the sign... Actually since the majority of production here is pots it could accurately be called a 'Pot Shop.' I hope to take a class here next week--and throw a few pots myself. I figured in this fall election season a guy should learn how to throw a little mud...

And red paint? Are they colorblind?
Guest 02-Sep-2006 11:21
They need to improve ther artistic skills. Now if they had done a diagonal line across the sign it would have been much better. Also they've let the paint run. Back to graffiti classes for them!

That class should be fun and it will create some subject matter for still-life photography.

Shocking behaviour! Funny comentary though.

A gentler kind of graffiti. Whoever the culprit is, needs a little more practice.

It is not New London, but New Amsterdam!

Well, they chose a nice color anyway, and I guess they can read, so maybe they're not has hopeless as it would seem. Maybe they'll have successful careers as "swiftboaters" or political spinmeisters.

Throw some for me!

no Greg no, slinging mud is for those who can't rely on merit.
by the way, it's been 20 years since I had my hands in the clay, have fun!

There are always some "bad seeds" running around everywhere. Great capture. Have fun in your class!
Jen Bixler31-Aug-2006 02:31
TERY WORK just doesn't have the same ring to it or humor! ;o)
Dan Chusid31-Aug-2006 02:27
Somehow I don't think the reference is to
the ceramic variety.
Maybe they were sampling the goods before
paint class!
s_barbour31-Aug-2006 01:31
lol...great shot Greg, I guess we can always find humor in other people's vandalism.
Enjoy your classes!

Great shot!

Yep, they are everywhere! You'll enjoy pottery. I had a blast with it. Takes a little to get the hang but when you do your creativity comes alive. Have fun!

Bring back the birch for vandals! :-)
Your commentary is great.
Chris P.30-Aug-2006 23:17
Certainly got my attention. Your comment made this post though.
Pathfinder30-Aug-2006 22:56
I think vandals should be hung. Next time you are in there, check on the price of an ouce for me though ;-)
Sue Robertson30-Aug-2006 22:53
Like the shot, love the commentary behind it. :)
Guest 30-Aug-2006 22:23
Good luck to you. From what I hear, it is much harder than it looks.
Robin Reid30-Aug-2006 21:26
LOL... as long as the mud you throw is at those damned opponents and that you don't go to pot yorself.
