New London, Minnesota

Being a southerner I'm always fascinated with the way leaves are warmed by the sun and end up melting the snow and ice around them, forming interesting shapes.

I think I had not seen this one before… We neglect involuntarily very meaningful images, when they are a little lost in a huge series. It’s really a precious picture, with all its sharp details and a total grace of shapes. Kudos Marisa

The leaf has been preserved by the ice. Nice capture. Love the texture on the ice and leaf and the way the leaf provides a bright spot of color.
