The Niger

...and a few comments here. I must admit, this river is big. Wide and winding. I saw it at an
extremely low level too. I can only imagine what it looks like at "full bore" after the rainy
season. It cuts through the Sahara like a knife through butter. Supporting countless people,
tribes and animals along the way. I have never been on the Congo, but when compared to the Nile,
it is most impressive.

Taken on the Niger River somewhere in between Mopti and Timbuktu, Mali.
