...did you ever here those stories that start with
"When I was a kid I had to walk... (insert distance) ...to school"

Well, in this part of the world the reason is:

1) because the bus blew up on the way to school the day before
2) because walking... (insert distance) ...was alot safer
3) because you had a better chance of getting there if walking
4) because they don't pay their schoolbus drivers enough
5) because they took the tires off the bus to make shoes ...as seen here
