OWL-IN-FLIGHT

FINALLY, a decent flight shot - well not quite. Just having some fun.

Top image: Image #1, Culmination of cropping, flipping and cloning of images 3 & 4 below.

First Draft, image # 3 flipped horizontally, then cloned together and an eye added. But I didn't like the face, so I borrowed a face from image # 4 to obtain the final result; namely, image #1 above.

Image #3: As shot flight shot - oops!

Image #4: As shot image from which I borrowed the face.

Hawk owl in flight seems to be all body with very short, stubby wings - he is in reality perfectly designed for the flight he uses to make his living. Very nice capture series. V
