According to Cooper & Stanley 1990, "Minerals of the Caldbeck Fells" (pg 127), sphalerite was found at the Brandy Gill mine and the Carrock mine, both in the tungsten veins and the E W lead veins.
The pyrite here though is suspicious, so perhaps this is mislabelled (Pete Ward). I have a Cornish assemblage from Wheal Jane showing this same association: https://pbase.com/hajar/image/154677583
