I started to leave this place where a small crowd had congregated because my lens had become coated with salt spray. A man sitting on the wall motioned me to stay, pointing to two boys who appeared to be leaving the area. When the two boys reached the median strip of the six lane road bordering the Malecón, they dashed back across three lanes of traffic, vaulted to the top of the seawall and dove into the water at a narrow cut in the rocks that is no more than about six feet wide (see previous picture). The first boy is just entering the water as the second is in midair. Breathtaking!
