After over 2 years of trying, I've finally gotten a decent shot (ignoring the feeder and other stuff in the photo!) I relocated the feeder and took this shot from the back door.

Canon EOS 1D ,Canon EF 500mm f/4L IS USM
1/160s f/5.6 at 700.0mm iso400 w/extension tube and 1.4x TC handheld full exif
