Toad on a piece of white paper

Our Garage

OK, perhaps I am going overboard. We have had this toad show up in our garage for the past 6 weeks. Ever since we started construction on an addition.

Tonight I decided to snap a picture of him. The first thing I did was put him on a white sheet of paper. Not sure if anyone knows this, but toads don't seem to prefer:
A) White sheets of paper
-and/or-
B) Being put onto a white sheet of paper
-and/or-
C) Being photographed

It took a bit more of an effort than I had originally thought.

Canon EOS 350D ,Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro
1/60s f/10.0 at 100.0mm iso100 with Flash full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

I usually shoot macros with some kind of support. Most notably is my monopod. The monopod gives you stability with flexibility (if that makes sense). The tripod doesn't work too well when you are shooting animal type macros (they keep moving around out of frame).

Hi, Actually I am trying to choose between EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM and EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM. I some sort like the 100mm but I am concern as I am not a steady photographer. Do you take these photos with tripod?

He seems quite content.
