This was our base for the two weeks we were in Italy. This villa was built in 1452 but had been modernized and was quite nice. It had three bedrooms, two baths, living room, dining room, kitchen and lovely patio with hot tub.
John, that is a sad story and I am sorry that you never made it to Italy. We had fun while we were there and I feel certain that you family would as well. I hope that you are able to make it some day.

Gordon, this makes me a little sad, Back in 2000 my family was making plans to spend a vacation together in Tuscany. Just when we had a place picked (big enough to hold 17), my oldest son announced that they were expecting a baby due in 3rd week of June, exactly when we expected to go. Everybody said "we all go together or wait". Then my wife got cancer in 2002 from which she is as completely cured as you can be. In 2004 the same couple produced their second child. We are now up to 19, but I don't think we're going to make it now. Two grandchildren in college. We may just have to go as a couple - maybe for our 50th? (only 16 months away)
