Very nice lighting and colors and sharp throughout. I like the intertwined claw and rusty wire loop - he could not quite close his right claw around it. This has nice edges too.

Great pic! I like the idea that the background is almost exactly the same overall color as the bird itself. Normally I look for contrasting colors to make my subject "pop", but this bird and it's background work wonderful together. Kudos!
