Gettysburg National Military Park

July 1, 2 and 3,1863 saw a fierce Civil War battle between the Union and Confederate armies in and around the town of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. There are more than 1,300 markers and monuments on the battlefield. These are pictures from inside the museum and around the battlefield. I made my first visit to the Gettysburg Battlefield in late March 2010. I was only able to scratch the surface of the amazing amount of history at this hallowed place.
